In December of 2005, I was introduced to the ideas of Imago Therapy by someone who told me Imago Therapy changed her relationship so dramatically that she and her husband were happier than they had been in their honeymoon stage. Two months later, my husband and I attended an Imago Couples Weekend Workshop called "Getting the Love you Want", and immediately I knew that I had found my niche. In 2007, I received the Basic training in Imago Relationship Therapy. A main belief of Imago Therapy is that conflict is growth trying to happen. However many couples believe that when conflict occurs it means that they must be with the wrong partner. In contrast, Imago therapists believe that when you find yourself in conflict with your partner, it means you have found an area where growth is needed from one or both of you.
