I am a developmental services worker, mental health and addictions counsellor . I have worked with mainstream counselling issues for 6 years, addictions for 10 years and in mental illness for 8 years

Practice Description

My philosophy is that everyone deserves to meet their goals and dreams in life and to be able to overcome issues that prevent them from fulfilling their life goals and allowing them to have healthy and functional minds. I believe in working from a professional and non-judgemental way. I have training and expertise in many different forms of therapy and believe in using a client centred and ecclectic perspective when counselling clients. I will always respect and work from the stage of change that my client is at and temper the counselling sessions with spiritually based methods if needed. I believe in eliminating stigma and stereotypes and have brought a unique perspectice to my counselling practice. I work with clients in their own homes or communities or online, thus allowing for more flexiblity around my clients schedules and overcoming stigma and increasing the comfort levels for my clients.
