As a Person Centred Counsellor , I strive to offer my clients without limit or condition the attitudional qualities of empathy , unconditional positive regard and congruence , these being the corner stone of the approach as they help foster within the the client a self healing process that enables them to be self directional . Additional Information I haves experience of working in a Doctors Surgery as Counsellor , at a local University as a Student Counsellor , for Relate as a Children and Young Persons Counsellor and as a Volunteer Counsellor for a Christain counselling service. Prior to training to be a Counsellor , I worked for 12 years for Social Services and the NHS with adults with Learning disability and people with Mental Health issues . I am currently working part time within the Mental Health system as a Mental Health advocate.
