Qualifications

Linda Sciberas has a Master of Arts Degree in Counselling Psychology from the Adler School of Professional Psychology and is a member of the Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychometrists, and Psychotherapists (OACCPP). In addition to her private practice, she works as a consulting clinical therapist for various multi-disciplinary chronic pain programs in the GTA and the surrounding areas. She is also a skilled psychometrist with extensive experience in conducting psychovocational and psychological assessments.

Practice Description

Linda provides individual counselling for adults and adolescents facing a variety of challenges. Her specific areas of expertise include assisting clients with anger management, interpersonal difficulties, depression, anxiety, and chronic pain. She works primarily with a Cognitive Behavioural Approach (CBT), which allows clients to develop the necessary functional and effective coping skills to manage their current difficulties.

In addition to her formal education and training, Linda has extensive experience in the field of health and wellness, particularly in the area of therapeutic movement, relaxation/breathing techniques, stress management, and meditation. Linda is also a certified yoga instructor with post graduate instruction in mindfulness training as it relates to anxiety, depression, stress management, and chronic pain. The diversity of Linda's training and experience allows for a holistic approach which recognizes the interrelation between the body, mind, and spirit.
