Richard has a BA and BSW from the University of Waterloo. He also graduated from Conestoga College and is a certified General Machinist as well as an I.M.M. Millwright

Practice Description

Welcome to RS Therapy Group. Richard has started this agency with the sole purpose of empowering individuals, families and groups to reach for the stars while understanding where they are standing. Clients range in age from adolescents through older adults and
include both men and women. Through understanding our goals and where we are, it’s possible to find balance for life. This simple belief in achieving success and balance has served Richard well through life.

Additional Information

Counseling services are provided to individuals, couples, families and groups using various clinical methods. Although Richard uses a generalist approach for counselling, four theoretical approaches are used. These are CBT (Cognitive Behavourial Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavourial Therapy), Motivational Interviewing and Narrative Therapy.

Life coaching is a future-focused practice with the aim of helping clients determine and achieve personal goals. What this means is Richard draws on his personal life to share what he has learned. Richard uses many methods to help clients set and reach goals. When Richard is working as a coach, he uses some therapeutic techniques, however he primarily uses personal lived experiences to convey information aimed at developing new
approach to understanding and dealing with life issues.
