We have worked successfully with many individuals and couples from a range of backgrounds who have been experiencing different kinds of personal difficulties. We have helped with concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, employer or employee workplace stress, issues of coping and personal goal setting. The partnership comprises Bridget Walford and Stefan Kelly, both highly experienced in providing long or shorter term counselling. We combine a wealth of background experience in higher education, social welfare, banking, IT and commerce with many years of client work. As professionally qualified, BACP registered counsellors and psychotherapists, we practice independently in the heart of Godalming, Surrey. We are able to offer Brief Counselling, Solution Focused Therapy, Psychotherapy and Life Coaching depending on which approach you, as a client, may prefer. What this means is that you and I can be creative and flexible in finding which way of working is most helpful, either in shorter term focus on specific goals or longer term self exploration. Through the therapy process we can work to uncover why you feel as you do, regain a sense of control in your life, raise your self esteem and move on to become the person you want to be. There are many forms and ideas about therapy. In our practice, we are pleased to offer the following: Brief Counselling, over an agreed limited number of sessions can help resolve specific, more immediate issues such as family crisis, relationship difficulties, workplace stress or panic attacks. Solution Focussed Therapy will help to identify, very succinctly, what it is you want to change and work out how to get there. Psychotherapy through a longer term process explores the source of your present day distress that you may be experiencing as depression, low self esteem, social phobia, anxiety, anger, not coping with life Additional Information Our office based practice is set in a 16th Century building within easy reach of Hampshire and Berkshire. With discrete access from Godalming High Street, the setting offers a quiet, private and safe space to work. We are aware that for some, both men and women, it can be difficult to make an approach to the 'talking therapies'.
