Simone received her Yoga Teacher Certification in Ashtanga and Hatha Yoga at Yoga Space in Toronto. With an advanced teacher training in Viniyoga, The Art of Healing with T.K.V Desikachar, she began adapting Yoga practice to the needs of the individual to provide private Yoga Therapy sessions. She attends ongoing study with Michael Stone in Ashtanga Yoga at Centre of Gravity in Toronto and meditation and Buddhist philosophy in the Shambhala Buddhist lineage. Currently, she is a third year student of Gestalt Psychotherapy at The Gestalt Institute of Toronto. In addition to teaching yoga, she provides a variety of holistic programming to women in the substance use/problem gambling program at The Jean Tweed Centre and stress reduction workshops in universities and social service agencies. She has served as resident yoga teacher, at Shambhala Mountain Center, a spiritual retreat centre in Colorado and piloted staff yoga programs for The Gladstone and Marriot hotels. She teaches group and private classes in Toronto. Simone is attentive to the application of yoga to remedy chronic conditions such as stress, pain, addiction and illness. As a teacher, she supports students in the process of reviving their own energetic resources, to promote greater spontaneity and creativity within their daily lives.
