Any person or organization involved in delivering care or education in the area of emotional wellness or healing
may place a listing on counselling.com provided they agree to the following:
1) You are legally qualified to provide the advertised service.
2) You accurately list your qualifications in the appropriate
section of the listing.
3) You accurately represent the services being advertised.
4) The services you offer are generally accepted methods for cultivating emotional wellbeing / healing.
5) Listings expire every 365 days and the user must log into the system prior to the expiration date in order
to continue the listing. You will receive an email one week before the expiration date.
7) Agree to TERMS OF USE (What our lawyers make us say)
We manually review all listings and reserve the right to reject any listing we do not feel
is acceptable or within the public interest.

1) Personal description of your practice and additional information up to 3000 characters in length.

2) Receive email from potential clients without revealing your email address.
3) Map link which identifies your location on google maps.
4) One personal photo of yourself.
5) Your own private login so you can update your listing at any time.
6) Place a direct link to your website. We now ask that if you use this feature you place a reciprocal link to www.counselling.com somewhere on your website.
7) There are two memberhsips Basic and Link Partners.
Both memberships are free.
Basic Membership: Identical to 'Link Partner' only you cannot place a web link to your website or upload brochures or documents.
Link Partner: Same as 'Basic' plus you can place a direct web link in your listing to your website however you must reciprocate with a link to Counselling.com on your website within one week.

"Link Partners" can upload documents such as brochures, registration forms and articles etc directly to their listing. (see example listing above).
Other than the document upload feature the memberships are identical.
How do I know if you place a web link? The website is being updated to check for reciprocal links. The link can go in any reasonable location on your website.
If you have a website but don't want to place a link back to Counselling.com then stick with the Basic membership.
Please consider that the viability of a 'free' model requires member support in order to obtain the Google rankings necessary to get your listings noticed.
